This hand embroidery is based on a drawing I made as a child about 27 years ago.
The castle is part of a larger fortress, full of detailed elements and imagination. Now, I’ve reinterpreted it as a hand-embroidered brooch. In this world, we all need symbols and mechanisms of protection — not to push others away, but to strengthen ourselves. This little castle now rests close to the heart, a small, wearable fortress offering symbolic protection from life’s challenges.
